Samsung's fridge has been around for a few years now and, although it offers a fair bit of functionality, the touchscreen smarts aren't an essential feature for many people. They're more of a fun and somewhat frivolous feature than anything else.

This may change with the release of more software updates, but at present these models are the best for those who wish to have the most complete connected refrigerator they can get. If you aren't one of them, you can always pick up a cheaper model without the Family Hub to save some money.
